Patch notes - April 29, 2023

Greetings Adventurers,

Here are the latest update details for 4Classic 4Story on April 29, 2023 (Sat). Today’s patch is approximately 169MB.

Battle of Iberia

We have heard your concern the current situation of Battle of Iberia and have done some changes to try and make battles more balanced and fun.

  • New Matchmaking
    • Balanced by gear -> class -> player count
    • As a result, you are no longer able to put items into your inventory during the Battle of Iberia queue and the battle.
    • Joining during warmup is no longer possible, as it did not take any balancing (beyond player count) into account.
  • Hotswap System
    • If the game detects that 80% of one side is pushed into their base, a reset is initiated.
    • Players of both nations will be teleported back into their base, as if the game had just started
    • The game will take one strong team (from the queue, not your group) from the stronger side and switch it with a team from the weaker side.
    • This system activates 2 minutes after the battle starts.
    • Once a hotswap is initiated, it takes 20 seconds for players to reset.
    • It has a cooldown of 5 minutes.
  • Safezones
    • The Safezone system has been reworked.
    • Every map now has 2 stages in their base, an outer and an inner.
    • Running into the enemies outer safezone, will leave you with a 3 second slow debuff, which gets reactivated every second that you are inside the zone
    • If you keep on pushing into the inner safezone, you will receive 1000 damage every second. It doesn't matter if you have a shield, are invisible or have no target.
    • These safezones are applied to both players and evocator pets
  • Maps
    • Gebra
      • The Gebra map is back. We have made adjustments so that it can hold a larger amount of players.
      • The map has been elongated, so that if one side is at a disadvantage, killing players will leave them with a longer walkway, which should give the weaker side a chance to come back
      • Available with 65 registered players and above
    • Bina (Large)
      • The map has been elongated, so that if one side is at a disadvantage, killing players will leave them with a longer walkway, which should give the weaker side a chance to come back
      • Available with 65 registered players and above
    • Bina (Small)
      • Available with up to 65 registered players.
    • Highlands
      • Available with up to 65 registered players.
    • Ardir
      • Available with 65 registered players and above
    • Tarat
      • Converted Capture the Flag Tarat map to be suitable for Battle of Iberia
      • Available for all registered player amounts.
    • Hod
      • Converted Capture the Flag Hod map to be suitable for Battle of Iberia
      • Its available with 65 registered players and above
  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed issue with Buff NPC not working sometimes
  • Miscellaneous
    • Evocator pets are now removed on relog or on reset
    • There's now a 1 minute cooldown on the buff NPC

Champions of Iberia

  • New Map - Tarat
    • Replaces Horusland for the first two weeks
    • After the two weeks, will change between the two based on random chance

  • Bug fixes
    • (Experimental) Fixed issue where Archer clones would sometimes show player names
    • Fixed issue, where player weapons would not have the teams effect
    • Fixed issue, where Archer clones would not have randomized maximum HP
    • Fixed issue, where you would sometimes not spawn at the selected team mate
    • Fixed issue, where sealed secondary weapons would be added to the inventory
    • Fixed incorrect "Spirit Water" item in the Top 3 Winner box
  • Miscellaneous
    • Changed buff NPC positions on Horusland map
    • Hair styles and hair color are now randomized

Mission War

  • Maps
    • Added a brand new, reworked Doc 10 map, which offers space for much bigger battles than previously possible
    • Removed Mission 70
  • Bug fixes
    • You can no longer use Ressurection Formulas
    • Its now possible to respawn at your corpse
    • Fixed issue where you would not get teleported out of Mission war if you log out before the end

World boss

  • Respawn is now based on where you die
    • If you die in the Aznar Wasteland region, you will respawn at your nations respawn NPC.
    • The respawn in the Aznar Wasteland region is only available during the World boss event.
    • If you die outside the Aznar Wasteland region you will respawn on the shrine, as per usual.
  • You will now get rewards from the boss, even if you are disconnected when the rewards are distributed (for eaxmple if you crashed), as long as you fulfill the minimum requirements.
  • Bug fixes
    • Fixed issue, which prevented you from respawning at your corpse
    • Fixed issue, where the client would not be notified of the World boss event ending, resulting in issues like respawning inside the circle, even after the mode ended
    • (Experimental) Fixed issue, where the ranking would show players with 0 damage

Monster Invasion

  • Blonea
    • Portals to Blonea are now available to both nations during the Monster Invasion event
    • Two portals have been added to "Dark Area" and "Outer Salreon Castle"
    • You can now teleport between areas
  • You will now get rewards, even if you are disconnected when the rewards are distributed (for eaxmple if you crashed), as long as you fulfill the minimum requirements.
  • Fixed issue, where the client would not be notified of the Monster Invasion event ending, resulting in issues like respawning inside the circle, even after the mode ended

Capture the Flag

We have decided to deactivate Capture the Flag until after a rework, as we have noticed the mode is being played pretty much like another Battle of Iberia. The time slots have been filled with other modes and will be discussed further down.

Open World

  • Ardir
    • Wanderer's Encampment is now available to Valorian outside of Territory conquest (20:30 - 21:30), regardless of who owns it
    • Spirit's Sanctuary is now available to Derion outside of Territory conquest (20:30 - 21:30), regardless of who owns it
  • Hesed
    • Land of Fire is now available to Valorian outside of Territory conquest (20:30 - 21:30), regardless of who owns it
    • Teiyon Kaos Abbey is now available to Derion outside of Territory conquest (20:30 - 21:30), regardless of who owns it
  • Gebra
    • Lost Fort is now available to Valorian outside of Territory conquest (20:30 - 21:30), regardless of who owns it
    • Village of Lumberjacks is now available to Derion outside of Territory conquest (20:30 - 21:30), regardless of who owns it

Territory conquest

  • Reduced reward chests from conquering a southern area from 3 to 2 per area.
  • Reduced reward chests from conquering a northern area from 2 to 1 per area.
  • Put a total limit of 150 chests per guild across all guild members/mercenaries.

Battle mode Timetable

  • Changed 17:00 Mission War to Solo Champions of Iberia
  • Changed 18:00 Battle of Iberia to Mission War
  • Added 19:00 Battle of Iberia
  • Changed 23:15 Capture the Flag to Monster Invasion
  • Changed 03:00 Capture the Flag to Battle of Iberia

Class Changes

  • Evocator
    • Pet damage now scales with the Evocators' stats
    • Removed damage cap from "Evocate Monster" skill
      • Each attack now deals 60% the damage of an auto attack
    • Fixed issue, that caused a small delay when summoning another pet, while having one summoned already
  • Priest
    • You can no longer get a critical hit using the "Cleanse" skill
  • General
    • Friendly skills will now affect allies in the following order: Self > Group Member > Everyone else
    • Multi-attack skills, like Fear, will now first target enemy players, then summoner pets, then monsters

Mount System

  • Improved responsivity by reducing amount of packets send back and forth
  • Reduced cooldown from 1 second to 0,75 seconds
  • Fixed issue, where mount would sometimes walk behind the players
  • Fixed issue, where using skills from mount would sometimes show a "Wrong direction" arrow
  • Fixed issue, where mounting while right-mouse button is clicked, would result in the direction you are facing being wrong
  • Fixed issue, where your character would stay invicinble, if you were riding out of a safezone

Upgrade Prices

To have upgrade prices more align with the amount of gold that's being generated, we have made some adjustments to how much you have to pay for each upgrade.

  • +17 50 Silver -> 75 Silver
  • +18 50 Silver -> 125 Silver
  • +19 100 Silver -> 500 Silver
  • +20 100 Silver -> 1 Gold
  • +21 250 Silver -> 1 Gold
  • +22 500 Silver -> 1 Gold
  • +23 500 Silver -> 1 Gold

Miscellaneous

  • Added "Automatic target (Player only)" setting.
  • Increased range, at which you can target players by clicking them.
  • Added checkbox to Security code, which lets you remember the code until you logout of the account.
  • "Uncap game logic" setting now defautls to "ON".
  • You can now move items through your inventory while the security code is locked.
  • Tab (Player only) now excludes Evocators 3 Pets.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed issue with "Endendros' Avatar" title
  • Fixed incorrect text for "Toggle Master Sound" keybind
